Ida M. Simcox, 91, of North Lima, passed away peacefully Thursday at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center.
Ida was born on May 2, 1921 in Big Run, Pa., the daughter of Lester and Sadie (Kerr) Daisher, and had been an area resident for the past 70 years.
A graduate of Poland Seminary High School, she was a homemaker her entire life. Ida loved to golf and bowl.
She was a member of the Old Springfield United Church of Christ.
Ida leaves to cherish her precious memory a daughter, Sandra (Don) Krawetz of Burton; two sons, Curtis (Rebecca) Simcox of New Springfield and Brian (Carol) Simcox of Salem; four grandchildren, Michael Krawetz of Burton, Davyd Krawetz of New Brunswick, Md., Jill Kulewsky of Burton, and Kristen Simcox of Salem; and a great-grandson, Patrick Kulewsky.
Besides her parents, Ida was preceded in death by her husband, William, whom she married on March 18, 1942 and died on January 12, 1997; two sisters, Norma, and Pearl; and a brother, Millard.
A memorial service will be held in Ida’s honor at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 28 at the Old Springfield United Church of Christ.
The family has entrusted the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima with the arrangements.
