East Palestine- Marjorie A. Drotleff, 86, passed away on Thursday, October 25 at Covington Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation where she had been a resident for two years. Prior to that, she had been a resident of Columbiana.
Marjorie was born on June 16, 1926 in New Middletown, Ohio, the daughter of Frederick and Lena (O’Neil) Welker.
Marjorie married Carl F. Drotleff on February 15, 1943. He passed away on August 9, 1978.
She was a life-long member of Good Hope Lutheran Church, and had worked at Country Corner and did child care for several years.
Marjorie leaves to cherish her precious memory six children, Crystal (Guff) Zalick of FL, Fred (Trina) Drotleff of East Palestine; Jim (Val) Drotleff of Youngstown; Bruce (Denise) Drotleff of Parma; Sherri (Mick) Davis of Columbiana; and Mike (Darcy) Drotleff of Howland; one sister, Mary Keller; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Neil and Allan Welker, and one sister Bea Jones.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 29 at 11 a.m. at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana with Pastor Ralph Edwards officiating.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 28 from 6-8 p.m. at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana and also one hour prior to the services on Monday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Marjorie’s memory to the Good Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market Street, North Lima, OH 44452.
