YOUNGSTOWN- Ethel Marie Curry McBride Kral, 91, went home to the Lord on Sunday, October 28 at home surrounded by her family.

Ethel was born on December 4, 1920 in Youngstown, the daughter of Robert Dale and Nila Marie (Lewis) Curry.

Ethel was an active member of Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ in North Lima, Ohio for over forty years assisting with dinners and rummage sales. A faithful Sunday School attendee, she enjoyed her class and the many projects her class participated in. She was a member of Fellowship Club for over thirty years, meeting monthly for dinner, dancing, and summer picnics. As a member of The Organ Club in New Middletown she indulged in more dinners with friends and many forms of music. She played banjo, piano, and organ – but only for her own pleasure. Ethel enjoyed dancing and attended an Arthur Murray Studio where she met and later married John Kral.

Ethel leaves to cherish her precious memory a daughter, Beverly Harris of Canfield; daughter-in law Barbara McBride of Poland; son William (Dorothy) McBride of Poland; and daughter Barbara (Dale) Sullivan of Youngstown, with whom she made her home; 23 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandson as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband John Irvin McBride as well as her second husband John Robert Kral; son Robert McBride, son-in-law James Harris, two granddaughters, four brothers (Dale, Vance, Wade and Thane) and three sisters (Ardith, Bethene and Elaine).

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 10 at 3 p.m. at the Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ with the Rev. Melinda Q. Lacefield officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made in Ethel’s memory to the Hospice of the Valley. A special thank you to Hospice of the Valley for their loving and gentle care during Ethel’s final illness and to Maxine McGaughy who helped watch over Ethel.

Family and friends are invited to visit www.seederly-mongandbeck.com to sign the guestbook or to send private condolences.
