Hanoverton – David L. Bell, 72, of Hanoverton, passed away peacefully early Monday morning, October 23 at his home.

Mr. Bell was born on May 24, 1945 in Minerva, Ohio, a son of the late Raymond and Aleta (Markley) Bell.  A graduate of Minerva High School, he served in the US Army during the Vietnam War from 1965 to 1967, and was stationed at Fort Benning, GA.  David worked at Alliance Steel, and Elgers of Salem for several years and Minerva Wax Paper where he worked as a tow motor operator for 29 years, before retiring from Salem Label Co. He was Methodist by faith and loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory two daughters, Michelle Hughes and her husband Jeff of Hanoverton and Tiffany Poole of Bowerston, OH; several grandchildren including Jakob Bell, Brittney Bell, Katelynn Hilderbrand and Brandie Hilderbrand and several great-grandchildren.

Mr. Bell was the last of a family of seven children.  His wife, the former Susan Wilson, whom he married April 18, 1970, passed away December 30, 2016.

Per David’s wishes, there will be no calling hours or services.

The family has entrusted Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana, Ohio with the arrangements for their loved one.
