YOUNGSTOWN – David L. Dickey, 81, passed away Monday, January 29, 2018 at Saint Elizabeth Medical Center in Youngstown.
David was born on May 2, 1936 in DuBois, PA, a son of David and Mildred Jane Dickey. An Austintown Fitch High School graduate, David worked on construction for Mike Staffery, at Castors Forklift as a mechanic, Wean United as a crane operator, and retired in 2003 from Valley Industrial where he worked as a mechanic. He belonged to Trinity United Methodist Church in New Springfield, where he taught Sunday school. He enjoyed fishing.
David leaves to cherish his precious memory his daughter Vickie Pasquinelli and her husband Paul of Salem; his sons Earl and his wife Cindy of Youngstown and David and his wife Kathy of New Springfield; his sister Carol Russell of Austintown; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, the former Judith A. Forsyth, who passed away April 17, 2005, and his brother-in-law John Russell.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 1 at 11:00 a.m. at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, North Lima, with Mr. Kenneth Panning officiating.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home, as well as an hour before services on February 1, at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests monetary donations may be made in David’s memory to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, OH.
