NORTH LIMA – Dorothy B. Keast, 94, passed away early Saturday morning, March 31, 2018 at Assumption Village in North Lima.
Dorothy was born on June 4, 1923, in Washingtonville, a daughter of Hubert O. and Iva A. (Baker) Bradley. A 1941 Canfield High School graduate, she married Willard G. Keast on June 7, 1947. She was a musician specializing in keyboard instruments, having played with local bands, clubs and churchs. Dorothy retired in 1983 from the US postal service after 27 years; 25 years at the North Lima post office and two years at New Springfield. She was a member of the A.P.W.U., the Musicians Union #22 and #172, the Tri-County Federation of Post Office Clerks, and N.A.R.F.E. She was also a member of Old Springfield United Church of Christ.
She leaves to cherish her memory many cousins.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Willard, who passed away July 25, 1989, and her sister Hazel Lenore Bradley who passed away in 1921.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 4 at noon at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, North Lima with Rev. Jeff Shultz officiating.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
