BOARDMAN- Jane Rambo, 78, was called home unexpectedly Thursday evening, August 24, 2017.

Jane was born on June 28, 1939, in Salem, the daughter of the late Willis and Clara Souders Rosenbaum, and was a lifelong area resident.

A 1957 graduate of East Palestine High School, Jane worked as a realtor for 42 years, retiring in 2009. She enjoyed the outdoors and liked to fish and go horseback riding in the mountains of Pennsylvania at Horseman’s Camp.  Jane also spent time in her vegetable garden.  She loved to travel, and one of the highlights was travelling to Africa for one month with her husband James. They also visited Canada many times.  Jane volunteered with 4-H and attended all of her grandchildren’s sport activities.  She was passionate about the Crestview Rebels, and always put others first.

Jane leaves to cherish her precious memory, her daughter Heather Alvario of Maryland; her son, Travis (Kelly) Rambo of East Palestine; her grandchildren, Sidney and Shelby Rambo, Cody Shamp, and Michael Alvario; her great-granddaughter Hailey; her sister Bonnie Williamson of Lake Berlin and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and the love of her life and high school sweetheart, James Rambo, whom she married on Feb. 28, 1957 and who passed away August 17, 2013 Jane was preceded in death by in infant brother Bradley.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the New Waterford Cemetery Chapel with Mr. Chuck Grubbs officiating.

As per Jane’s wishes, there will be no calling hours.
