Andrew William 'Bill' Marsh II

There will be a Memorial Mass held on Saturday, June 29 at 10:00am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church officiated by Fr.  Philip Rogers for Andrew William (Bill) Marsh II, 34, of Norristown, PA who passed away , May 12, 2019 at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia, PA;  his beloved wife and family by his side.  He was born on September 25, 1984 in Covington, KY.

Bill was the loving husband of Lauren (Mapes) and father of Sabina Adalind, 6 months, and son of John and Mary Jo (Bailey) Marsh.  He is survived by his sister, Michelle (Jeff), brother J. Nicholas (Kara), grandfather, Donald Bailey, Goddaughter and niece, Lillian Simpson, new born niece, Mira William Marsh, parents – in- law Brian and Collette Mapes, brother-in-law, Brian (Monica) Mapes and niece, Nicoletta and nephew, Oliver Mapes, and many relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Mary Jane Bailey, Eugene and Lucille Marsh as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Bill was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School (Youngstown, OH), and Thomas More College (Crestview Hills, KY).  After graduating from college, Bill worked with troubled youth at Campbell Lodge and Children’s Home of Northern Kentucky.  After moving to Pennsylvania he continued to work with disadvantaged children at Kid’s Peace.  Bill was passionate about caring for ‘his children’ and always remarked, “I love my job!”

He was an avid football fan and cheered for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  He also enjoyed watching the Cincinnati Reds and University of Kentucky Basketball.  He enjoyed eating wings, Cincinnati Chili and anything from the Boulevard Tavern.  He also enjoyed spending time with his dogs, Vicky and Spike, collecting wall clocks and could tell you anything you wanted or didn’t want to know about history.  He was extremely proud of his daughter Sabina and excitedly learned to change her diapers, get this dad thing down and read Bill, the Elephant to Sabina.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, June 29 at 9:00am prior to the Mass at St. Charles Borromeo.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sabina Marsh Education Fund c/o Lauren Marsh PO Box 3 Fairview Village, PA 19409.
