I worked along-side Artie in the OUR Center kitchen setting out drinks and beverages. I thought so much of Artie, and was saddened to hear of her passing. I am a year late with this condolence, but have no computer of my own, so have to borrow one. I still think of Artie so much. She was a good Christian woman and so dedicated to helping the unfortunate. When she was still working at the OUR Center, I could tell she was getting weaker and slowing down, but she kept going. She told me one day that she probably wouldn't live another year. I cried and hugged her and she said "Linda, I'm not afraid to die". And I said "I know you're not Artie, but we'll miss you." And I still miss her. If anyone had a headache or anything, she would rummage through her bag of arsenal pills and find something she thought might help you feel better, I enjoyed her so much., and will remember her always with love and admiration. Tell God hi for me Artie, and I'll see you both one day!
