Donald J. Marciniak

Salem – Donald J. Marciniak, 65, passed away at Salem Regional Medical Center on Saturday evening, March 3, 2018.

Donald was born on November 6, 1952 in Youngstown, OH, a son of Donald and Aurelia (Simodi) Marciniak.   A Poland Seminary High School graduate, he graduated from New Castle School of Trades and worked as a self-employed electrician. Don was a proud Army veteran who loved his country.  He had a great sense of humor that always made people smile.

Donald leaves to cherish his precious memory two daughters, Dawn Marie Muncy of Duluth, MN and Kristen Jean Marciniak of Myrtle Beach, SC, two granddaughters Brooklyn and Sophia, close friend Betsy Braham, a sister Debbie, an aunt, nieces, cousins and other family.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per Don’s request, there will be no calling hours.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery Chapel, 5400 Market Street, Youngstown, with Vincent Lisi officiating.  Military honors will be accorded by the Ellsworth VFW.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to friends Randy Schaefer and Greg Langer, and also Lorraine Wess, a helper and friend from Care4Me, for the kindness shown to Don.
