COLUMBIANA – Doris M. Crouse, 91, passed away Sunday morning, April 1, 2018 at St. Mary’s Alzheimer’s Center.
She was born January 8, 1927 in Columbiana, a daughter of John and Dorothy (Senior) Bieber. A 1945 North Lima High School graduate, she married Vance Eugene Crouse on March 24, 1951 and was a faithful member of Mount Olivet United Church of Christ.
Doris is survived by her daughters Connie Frenger and her husband J.P. of Leetonia, Janice Weikart and her husband Bill, also of Leetonia, and Jeannie Hollabaugh of East Palestine; nine grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and sisters Joyce Brook of New Waterford and Mary Barnes of Columbiana.
In addition to her parents, Doris is preceded in death by her husband Vance, who passed away November 20, 1993, and her sister Phyllis Howell.
Funeral services officiated by Pastor Barry Stirbens will be held on Thursday, April 5, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet United Church of Christ, 410 W. South Range Rd, North Lima.
The family will greet friends at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Doris’ memory to the Women’s Guild at Mt. Olivet.
