Harold Dean Casity, 82, of Columbiana, passed away November 2 at Hospice House following a long illness.
Harold was born on March 26, 1936, in New Springfield, OH, a son of Herbert and Mable (Brickman) Casity. He worked as a welder for 35 years at R.L. Best and Dunaway Inc. He was a loving and caring person who enjoyed working with his hands and wood working, and also volunteering.
Harold will be greatly missed by his wife, the former Mary Lou Biggins, with whom he spent forty years; daughters Linda (John) Chapman and Janet Noble; step-sons Victor (Libby) Lamm, David (Sherry) Lamm and Michael Lamm; grandchildren Adam Noble, Kara (Nick) Haught, Sara (Marcel) Guzman, Briana (Linbell) Lewis, Park Lamm and Ally Lamm; great-grandchildren Christopher and Nicholas Guzman and Lycan Lewis; brother Leon (June) Casity; sisters and brothers-in-law Eugene (Sylvia) Burkey and Carol (James) Garvin ; nieces, nephews and dear friends Janie Maravola and Rob and Rhonda Blazer. He also leaves his pets Corky, Patches and Emmy Lou.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Twila Bonsal.
A celebration of his life will be held from 2-6pm on Saturday, November 10 at his home. Retired Minister Peter Kerlin will officiate at a short service.
