Helen E. (Simpson) Todd

SALEM – Helen E. Todd, 97, passed away Monday morning, July 9, 2018 at Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation with her family at her side.

Helen was born on April 18, 1921 in Columbiana, a daughter of Walter and Bertha Simpson. A Columbiana High School graduate, she married Henry C. Todd in 1955. Helen was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed music, but her greatest love was her family. Through the years Helen was active in various church organizations and activities and also with the Columbiana Music Club.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughters Susan Vukovich of Columbus and Janice (Brian) Bell of Salem; her grandchildren Andrew (Deanna) Conkling, Betsy (Bill) Hazelton, Kaitlyn Vukovich, Jacob (Stevie) Bell, Lisa Bell, and Charles George; her great grandchildren Samuel, Lennox, Crane, Lyra, Sawyer, Afton, Eloise, Nick, Eli, Lily, Peyton, Trevor, and Jocelyn; her sister Carole Kibler; her niece and nephews and their families.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 Monday, July 16, 2018, at Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 415 S. Main St., Columbiana, Ohio 44408, celebrated by Pastor Aimee Raymond.  

The family will receive friends Sunday evening, July 15, 2018 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM, at the Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm St., Columbiana, Ohio 44408. 

In lieu of flowers the Todd family has requested that material donations be made to Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Helen’s honor. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all of those who helped Helen during her time of need: Crossroads Hospice, Auburn Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, and Mother’s Karing Touch Home Health Care.
