My sincere sympathy to Melanie, Michael, Melissa and families. When I first moved to Columbiana in 1983, your mom was one of the first people I met; at the Cricket Shop. She was so creative and welcoming. Eventually, I worked for her a couple of days a week. We lost touch after a few years, but I always think of her when I'm downtown by the old store.

Sending my thoughts and prayers to your family on your recent loss. I did not know Marty but she was part of our Joytimers Group- a group of widows and widowers. We got together once a month for a pot luck and occasionally to go out for dinner or activity. She will be missed by our group. God bless and watch over you all.

I work at he office on aging and had the pleasure of meeting with your loved one on several occasions. She was a very sweet sweet lady that I had the pleasure to have known, for such a very short time. She dearly loved her family and children ....and Franks children ....and she missed Frank very much. She treasured little Bella....as she kept her company, especially after Frank passed. I'de like to think that they are together now..........my deepest sympathies to all.
Sincerely, Joline

Marty was my friend…She never took herself too seriously, as a matter of fact, not seriously at all – she would rather crack a spontaneous joke and laugh about the day than stay too long bogged down in serious BS. Marty was my Father’s friend – she tells the story about how they met in a little restaurant that she waitressed at – My Father tells me that meeting her saved his life…Marty was my brothers and sisters friend, when they would come to visit on holidays – she would bless them with lots a food and good conversation .Marty was her neighbors friend, she would share with them the latest project she was working on or plant she was growing – she would tell me how blessed it was to have good neighbors. Marty was her children’s friend, just ask her what her kids were up to and she would proudly tell you. Marty was her sibling’s friend, when she would speak about them – it would be with respect and fondness. She loved her Parents; I got to meet her Mother and can see where Marty got her friendly and funny nature from. Marty had many friends, but one particular dear one that she held above all others, that was her bestest friend – you know who you are. Marty loved God and was a friend of Jesus Christ too…She would share her faith with me in very honest heartfelt ways… and through all her trials and tribulations she told me she still trusts God’s plans for her now and for eternity, but then she added in her wryly hilarious way – because my plans never went according to planned and I'm sure His plans are better then mine anyway- I love you Marty, my good friend – you were one of the few I had and I will always miss you…I pray to one day see you again – your friend and little helper, Frankie...

Marty was a one of a kind woman. She could do anything she set her mind to- from carpentry to baking. She did not have one lazy bone in her body. She was very dedicated to those she loved. She was generous and giving. . She had a zest for life and a smile for everyone. She was never superficial. She knew how to connect with people. She will be greatly missed by anyone having had the opportunity of knowing her. Good bye dear Marty. I am betting you are now baking cookies and pies for a host of angels in heaven.

Marty was not only my friend, but a friend to anyone with whom she met. She was easy to talk to and was an easy listener. We has our time for memories just recently, and we laughed and spoke of times of when there were no cares and no worries and we were free. Well, now she has returned to that time again, and Marty has a new body and a new mind, free of all worry and free of all pain. We and I will miss you, but Heaven has gained a new Angel, God Bless,
