SALEM – Sara J. Hum, 76, of Columbiana, passed away Tuesday afternoon, March 6, 2018 at Salem Regional Medical Center with her family beside her.
Sara was born on March 10, 1941 in Unity, OH, a daughter of the late James and Thelma (Crowl) Evans. A 1959 graduate of Monaca High School, she married Russell “Bud” Hum Jr. on March 3, 1961 and enjoyed being a full time mother to their five children and homemaker. She loved to bake and take care of their home on West Friend Street in Columbiana.
Sara leaves to cherish her precious memory three daughters, Amy Tardio and her husband Anthony and Kelley Montgomery and her husband Scott, all of Columbiana and Lori Hum of Leetonia; son Sam and wife Jennie of Columbiana; 11 grandchildren Cale, Nate, Nickolas, Natalie, Zach, Evan, Matt, Ryan, Hannah, Julia, and Joe; two great-grandchildren Kia and Divinity; and a brother Edward Evans and his wife Louise.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bud, who passed in 2012, a daughter Carrie Guido, a sister Sally Lindey and a brother Joe Evans.
A private service will be held at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm St., Columbiana.
