AUSTINTOWN – Willie B. White, 90, passed away early Saturday morning, April 15, 2017, at Briarfield Manor in Austintown surrounded by her family.
Willie was born on September 3, 1926, in Murphy, North Carolina, a daughter of John and Callie (Radford) Woody. A Baptist by faith, she married Dee White on June 9, 1946 and together they would raise three children.
She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Kozic and her husband Zoltan of New Middletown and Brenda Timlin and her husband Jack of Lordstown; a son Charles White of Albany, GA; two brothers Shirl and William Woody, both of Grand Junction, CO; four grandchildren, Joseph, Jennifer, and Jamie Kozic and Stacie Rolland; and six great-grandchildren, Stephon, Julia, Caitlynn, Abigail, Ethan, and Ryleigh.
Willie was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Elsie Radford; a brother, Ross Woody; and a daughter-in-law Sandy White.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21, at 11 a.m. at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, North Lima.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima, as well as at 10 a.m., an hour before the services on Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made in Willie’s memory to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, OH, 44512.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to the staff at Briarfield Manor and at Hospice of the Valley for the kindness and compassion shown to Willie during this difficult time.
