NORTH LIMA - A. Virginia Parsons, 90, of North Lima, passed away peacefully early Friday morning at Assumption Village. Virginia was born February 29, 1924, in Philadelphia, PA, a daughter of the Fred and Fayetta (Short) Williams. She was a graduate of West Philadelphia High School, and belonged to St. Michael Lutheran Church in Strasburg, PA. Virginia was employed by Education Testing Services in Princeton, NJ for many years, primarily in the financial aid department. She enjoyed reading and walking, but most of all, spending time with her family. She leaves behind a son James and his wife Denise of Holtwood, PA; a daughter Helen and her husband Allen Kominak of Salem; four grandchildren, James (Colleen) Parsons of Holtwood, PA, Colleen Parsons of Columbia, PA, Christopher (fiancee' Sarah Prokop) Kominak of Columbus, OH, and Matthew (Brittany) Kominak of Boardman; two great granddaughters Kennedy Kominak and Grace Parsons; as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews in Pennsylvania. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John H. Parsons, whom she married March 23, 1946 and who passed away in March 2011 right before their 65thanniversary; daughter Fay, who passed away in October 1968; a sister Louise Shivers, and a brother Fred Williams. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made in Virginia's memory to the Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Youngstown, OH 44512. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Assumption Village and Hospice of the Valley for their compassionate care of Virginia. The Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima, Ohio has been entrusted with the arrangements.
