Ada G. Esenwein, 83 of 521 Old North St. Columbiana, passed away at 4:05 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at the Salem Community Hospital from heart failure. Ada was born on March 8, 1927 in Columbiana, the daughter of Francis and Pearl Evans Kabler. Mrs. Esenwein had been the bookkeeper for 20 years at the Union Banking Company of Columbiana which is now P.N.C. Bank in Columbiana. Ada was a member of the First Christian Church of Columbiana and a former choir member. She graduated from Columbiana High School in 1945. Mrs. Esenwein is survived by her husband, Cecil F. Esenwein, whom she married July 3, 1947. Other survivors include a son Fred (Mary) Esenwein of Harrisburg, North Carolina; two sisters Wilma (Jim) Hum of Columbiana and Dorothy (Jim) Thomas of Alabama; a brother Don Kabler of Columbiana and two grandsons Fred and Kurt. Ada was preceded in death by a brother Earl Kabler. Services will be held at 1:30 pm Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana with Mr. Jim McLoud officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana.
