On November 1, 2010 at 8:30 PM Ada Douglass Wilhelm went to join her daughter Marian, her husbands Clyde Douglass and Ernie Wilhelm, and her granddaughter Krista Blake in heaven. Ada was born the second of seven children to Earl and Blanche Newell on June 21, 1919. Four children and their spouses Sam and Jeanette Douglass, Jim and Karen Bauser, Danny and Erle Blake, and David and Terri Becker called her Mom. Her step-children Gerry and Fran Wilhelm, and Earl and Margie Focht were her friends. Eighteen grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren called her Grandma Ada. A long time member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Ada loved the Lord and endeavored to walk in His ways. Her career as a librarian allowed her to enjoy her passion for books and she felt responsible to read every book in the library. She will be remembered as a strong, courageous, kind, compassionate person who touched many lives. Visitation with family and friends will be on Sunday, November 7, 2010 from 4 to 7 PM at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, Columbiana. A celebration of her long, full life will be held on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 11 AM at Jerusalem Lutheran Church.
