NEW SPRINGFIELD - Albert R. Crum, 84, passed away unexpectedly at his home in New Springfield. Mr. Crum was born on March 13, 1932 in New Springfield, a son of George and Helen Crum. A member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Springfield, Albert worked as a painter at NRM in Columbiana for 42 years. He married the former Lila Celesta Oesch on June 25, 1955; she passed away August 4, 1974. Albert enjoyed collecting stamps and watching baseball. He also spent much of his free time with his family and granddaughters. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his son Albert Scott, his granddaughters Jenna and Amanda, and brothers George and Otis, all of Columbiana. Besides his wife, Albert was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers William and Denis. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 9 at 11:00 a.m. at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm St., Columbiana with Pastor Ernest Martin officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 8 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm Street, Columbiana, OH. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions may be made in Albert's memory to the Midway Mennonite Church, 13376 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Columbiana, OH 44408.
