BOARDMAN - Allan J. Simcox, 68, passed away Saturday evening, April 4 at Briarfield Manor following a short illness. Allan was born on July 29, 1946 in Youngstown, a son of Harold and Esther (Sitler) Simcox. He graduated from Boardman High School in 1964, and served our country during the Vietnam War by joining the U.S. Air Force. He later attended Youngstown State University, and was employed by Republic Steel in the accounting department. He also worked for the DeBartolo Corporation in the accounting department, and later became a self-employed landscaper. He was a past member of the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Poland. He enjoyed working outdoors, repairing things, and playing with his grandsons. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his daughter Stacey Firman of Boardman; his son Scott Simcox and his wife Robin of Winterpark, FL; his sister Lorraine Simcox of Poland; his brother Jerry Simcox and his wife Vickie of West Manchester, OH; grandsons David Firman and Luke Simcox; nephews Jason and Jared; nieces Jessica and Stephanie, as well as many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. Allan was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday April 13 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, in North Lima with Pastor Bob Linsz officiating. Friends may call one hour before services.
