Alycia Nicole Thornton, 23, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 15, 2017.

Alycia was born on July 13, 1993 in Akron, OH, a daughter of Paul F. Thornton, Jr. and Pam M. Ripley. A Springfield Local High School graduate, Alycia enjoyed drawing and sketching. She loved spending time at the local parks, and she was a very caring person who loved to laugh and make other people laugh. She was a very helpful and giving person, and will be missed by many. She loved spending time with her niece Ava Grace and her newborn son Liam James Thornton.

Alycia leaves to cherish her precious memory her parents Rick and Pam M. (Ripley) Brintzenhofe, her son Liam James Thornton; four brothers William Ripley, Greg Goodheart, Paul Thornton III, and Clayton Thornton; sister Jorja Lee Wall; step-siblings Luke Brintzenhofe, Rochele Terrell, and Rebecca Brintzenhofe; maternal grandparents Edith and William Casselberry; paternal grandparents Richard and Delores Brintzenhofe; uncles Lewis, Phillip, and Rodney Ripley; and aunts Yvonne Ripley and Renee (Roger) VanHorn, who was very special to Alycia. She will also be missed by many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Lewis O. Ripley.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday January 21 at noon at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, North Lima, with Pastor Michael Smith officiating.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 20 from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home, and also one hour prior to the service, at 11 am, on Saturday.
