Andrew L. Freed of Boardman, a kind-hearted father, brother and son, died on Thursday. He was 31. A celebration of his life will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday, June 24, at Chester Long Pavilion in Boardman Park, followed by a memorial service and candlelight vigil at 8 p.m. Freed left his family and friends too soon. He will be remembered as full of life, a beautiful soul with a smile that could light up a room. Freed was born December 10, 1984, in Warren, Ohio. He attended Columbiana schools, graduated from Youngstown's Life Skills Academy in 2002, and attended Kent State University. Freed was a dedicated father who, above all, enjoyed teaching and spending quality time with his son, Aiden. He also enjoyed Cleveland sports, the outdoors, concerts and socializing with friends. In the summer you could find him tossing a Frisbee in the park or sitting around a campfire. Music filled his heart. Freed is survived by his son, Aiden (m. Brandie Noble), of Boardman, Ohio; mother, Carole Dunfee (Rick), of Cadiz, Ohio; father, Quentin Freed Jr. of Boardman, Ohio; brother, Jason (Melissa), of North Royalton, Ohio; sister, Erin, of Boardman, Ohio; and grandmother, Joan Borsh, of Boardman ?, Ohio?. He will also be remembered by a large extended family. Freed vowed to tell his son "I love you" every day, and, in his honor, his family asks that you do the same with those closest to you.
