COLUMBIANA – Anna Roberta Hawkins, 97, passed away early Sunday morning, April 1, 2018 at Whispering Pines.

Anna was born on June 5, 1920 at home in East Palestine, a daughter of Herbert and Anna Merceda (Sinclair) McCready.  A Salem High School graduate, she married Eugene Hawkins in 1946. A homemaker, Anna was a member of Columbiana Presbyterian Church.  An avid card player, she enjoyed bowling and traveled extensively.  Anna was one of the founding members of the Columbiana County Boat Club.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her sons Jack and his wife Deborah of Homeworth, OH and Tim and his wife Robin of Overggard, AZ; four grandchildren Shawn, Scott, Teresa and Chad; eight great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eugene "Pete" Hawkins, three brothers Jim, Hugh and Eugene and a sister Dorothy.

Per Anna's wishes, there will be no calling hours or service.

The family has entrusted Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana, Ohio with the arrangements for their loved one.
