Anthony R. Bondi, 68, of Columbiana passed away following an extended illness Sunday, March 11, 2012 at the Hospice House, Poland. Mr. Bondi, the son of Joseph and Mary (Barone) Bondi, was born on October 17, 1943 in New Castle, PA. Anthony attended New Castle Sr. High. He worked as a truck driver for a total of forty-five years, and was a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church in Columbiana. Anthony is survived by his wife Shirley (Flickner) Bondi, whom he married on June 6, 1963. Survivors also include son Anthony Joseph Bondi, Pittsburgh, daughter Denise (Arnold) Lynn Jones, Washingtonville, sisters Frances (Eugene) Buckley, New Castle, Angeune Hetrick, New Castle, Sandra Kennedy, New Castle, and brothers Frank (Marie) Bondi, New Castle, Vincent Bondi, Philadelphia, PA, and Michael Bondi, New Castle. He is also survived by three grandchildren, Sabrina, Justin, and Christopher Jones. He is preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Bondi. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, Columbiana, at 2:00 p.m. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the family.
