NORTH LIMA - Barbara J. Grossen, 72, of North Lima, passed away at her home early Saturday morning, February 15. Barbara was born on April 25, 1941 in Youngstown, a daughter of Robert and Alice (Marvin) Bailey. She was a 1959 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School. Barbara married Jerold R. Grossen April 22, 1961 and would have celebrated 53 years of marriage this April. She was employed by Ohio Edison, and later worked for the Boardman School District, from which she retired. Barbara enjoyed camping, gardening, canning, cooking, and crafts. She was an honorary member of the Tri-County 4 Wheelers. She loved spending time with her family, especially her five grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her husband Jerold; three daughters, Cheryl (Richard) Filicky of North Lima, Karen (Mike) McNally of Winchester, VA, and Gina (Robert) Yarab of Boardman; five grandchildren, Bryan Filicky, Eric Filicky, Alex Yarab, Holly Yarab, and Elizabeth McNally; and a sister Sue Hunter of Youngstown. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 19 at 11:00 a.m. at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, with Pastor Ralph Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 18 from 5-8 p.m. at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, North Lima, and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
