Obituary

COLUMBIANA - Bettie M. Mignogna, 93, passed away Wednesday evening, October 14 at Parkside Health Care Center surrounded by her family. Mrs. Mignogna was born on March 3, 1922 in Columbiana, a daughter of Clinton W. and Ethel (Horn) Faulk. A life-long area resident, she was employed by F.C. Russell Co. in Columbiana as a machine operator and a cook at South Side Middle School in Columbiana for 20 years. She was a member of First Christian Church her whole life. Bettie belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and 40 & 8 and enjoyed travelling with her husband Dan for his scouting events and his work when he was running for American Legion District Commander. Bettie leaves to cherish her precious memory two daughters, Bonnie Gauding and her husband Randy of Columbiana and Shirley Baker of Fort Worth, TX; one son Daniel Homan and his wife Tracy of Greenford; Daughters-in-law Doris Homan of Hillsville, VA and Rose Homan of Cortland; 11 grandchildren 18 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; sister Dorothy Lemley of East Palestine; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Daniel whom she married September 27, 1979 and who passed away August 5, 2010; sons Clinton and Richard Homan, sister Evelyn Zentko, and brother James Faulk. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 20 at 11:00 a.m. at First Christian Church, 39 Cherry St., Columbiana with Pastor John Reed officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at 10:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Bettie's memory to First Christian Church. The family has entrusted Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana, Ohio with the arrangements for their loved one.
