Park Ave. Columbiana, Ohio, passed away at 10:25 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2006 at Parkside Health Care Center in Columbiana. Betty was born on November 30, 1923 in Columbiana, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carl and Mildred Mikesel Lipply. Mrs. Boyer had previously lived in Liberty, Ohio before moving to Columbiana. She had been an English Professor at Youngstown State University. She was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in New Springfield, Ohio. She was preceded in death on October 31, 1998 by her husband William L. Boyer. They were married in 1947. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters Rhoda Sheely and Twila Lipply and one brother C. Loren Lipply. A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at the New Springfield Cemetery with Pastor Frank Podolinsky officiating. Burial will be in New Springfield Cemetery.
