Betty Lou Hoover, 83, of 11827 Market Street, North Lima, Ohio, passed away on Monday, June 21, 2010. She was born in Youngstown, Ohio May 13, 1927, the daughter of the late Elizabeth and William (Duff) McQuown. She was a long time resident of North Lima, Ohio. She loved to collect Santa Clause's and antiques. She owned and operated with her husband Salt Box Antique Shop of North Lima and Hoovers Antiques in North Lima. She also sold antiques at Main Street Antiques of Columbiana She was preceded in death on September 30, 1995 by her husband John L. Hoover whom she married June 18, 1949. She is survived by one daughter, Rebecca Witherstine of Beloit; one son, Denis (Susan) Hoover of Greenford; six grandchildren, Patrick Garrett, Sherry (Brett) Schweitzer, Christine (Bill) Gorby, Katie Hoover, Cody Hoover, Samantha (Russell) Dawson; and five great-grandchildren, Sierra and Brandon Gorby, Haylie and Allie Garrett, and Jonathan Haas. Betty was preceded in death by her sister Grace Richards and her brother William McQuown. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima with Pastor Ralph Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Smicksburg Cemetery in Smicksburg, PA. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima.
