NORTH LIMA – Bobbie Jo Spurio, 67, of North Lima, passed away at Saint Elizabeth Boardman Health Center Sunday morning, March 16.

Bobbie Jo was born on March 18, 1946 in Canton, a daughter of Robert WIlliam and Alice N. (Urwin) Ludwig. She graduated from Perry High School in 1964, and later from the Altman Hospital School of Nursing at Malone College as an RN in 1967.

She married Bernard V. Spurio Sr. March 4, 1968 and worked as a nurse at the former Diamondhead Nursing Home and also as a psychiatric nurse at the state mental hospital.

Bobbie Jo enjoyed cooking and baking, and watching cooking shows. She was an international traveler, visiting around the world with her father. They especially enjoyed their trips to Hawaii.

She leaves to cherish her precious memory her daughter, Tracy Lee Gregory and her husband Clinton of Midlothian, VA; her son Bernard V. Spurio Jr. and his wife Christine of Unity; five grandchildren, Clinton, Conner, Courtney, Justina, and Danielle; three great grandchildren, Zane, Damian, and Ahnaliese; a brother Robert "Bob" Ludwig and his wife Marlene, a nephew Michael and a niece Lisa.

Bobbie Jo was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Bernard who passed away August 8, 2007.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday March 18 from 6-8 p.m. at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 11500 Market Street, North Lima.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Bobbie Jo's memory to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 6155 Rockside Road, Suite 202, Independence, OH 44141-2217.
