Obituary

Bruce A. 'Brubaker' Barringer, 59, of Columbus, died in the arms of Jesus as he fell asleep Thursday, July 12 at his home after a lengthy illness. Bruce was born on October 5, 1952 in Youngstown, a son of Leo and Delores (Davis) Barringer. He lived in the Columbiana area until moving to Columbus 26 years ago. A 1970 graduate of Canfield High School, he worked at NRM in Leetonia. He currently was employed at Tiger-Poly in Columbus. Bruce was an avid antique collector and enjoyed working on cars. He rose through the ranks from Cub Scout, to Boy Scout, to Eagle Scout with his Canfield Boy Scout group. He was very loved and maintained lots of long time dear friends who will surely miss him. Bruce leaves to cherish his precious memory his mother Delores; a son, David Lee; three sisters, Melody (Tom) McCoy of Leetonia, Pamela Barringer of Salem, and Linda Barringer-Hayes of Leetonia; many nieces and nephews; a great-niece and many great-nephews. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday July 17 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday July 16 at the Funeral Home and also one hour before services. Bruce was preceded in death by his grandparents, father Leo, and a sister, Mary Manton. The Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana has been entrusted with the arrangements.
