Calvin C. Roby, 57, of Youngstown, Ohio, passed away at 9:14 a.m. on Thursday, December 25, 2008 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Roby was born on June 20, 1951 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of Cloyce C. and Rosetta M. (Hanlon) Roby. Calvin was an auto mechanic. He owned and operated his own business, Action Auto Repair in Austintown, Ohio. He raced jeeps and loved cars and Harley Davidson Motorcycles. Mr. Roby was an active member and charter member of Rolling Thunder Ohio, Chapter 4. Calvin served in the United States Marine Corps. In Viet Nam. Calvin is survived by four children and ten grandchildren and one sister, Carol Roby, and leaves Karren Salem, his companion and caretaker for the last four years. Mr. Roby was preceded in death by one brother, Cloyce C. "Woody" Roby. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2009 at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery with Chaplain William Mullins officiating.
