Obituary

DAYTON - Carl D. Rose passed on Sunday, April 13th, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. Carl was born August 30, 1937 in Youngstown, Ohio, son of the late Herbert and Ethel Rose. He was a resident of Youngstown, Poland, North Lima and Beavercreek, Ohio. Carl graduated from Wilson High School, worked at and retired from Republic Steel/LTV Steel, and was an Army Reservist. He was an avid and accomplished gardener who owned his own Christmas Tree Farm for many years in North Lima. He was also a builder, mason, mechanic, historical gun collector, debater, overall jack-of-all-trades, as well as a lover of books, movies, food & spirits, sports, music, animals, history and, most if all, his family.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Lynea Wilson-Waring Rose; son, Keith Rose; sister, Kathleen Rose Selner; and brother, Robert (Bob) Rose. Family members include daughter & son-in-law Angela & Scott Williams of Beavercreek, Ohio; beloved grandchildren Teresa, Kyle, Brian & Evan; sisters Marian Beil of North Lima and Susan Wallach of Texas; brothers David (Butch) Rose of Brookfield, Allen Rose of Salem, Herbert Rose of Poland, and Danny Rose of Poland; brother-in-law Conrad (Butch) Waring of Pine Island, FL; sister-in-law Karen Waring of Seminole, FL. Carl also leaves many nieces and nephews he loved and cherished dearly.

Calling hours will be at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home at 11500 Market Street in North Lima, Ohio on Tuesday, April 15 from 6-9pm. Funeral service and burial will be held at the chapel at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Boardman on Wednesday, April 16 at 12:00 noon.
