Carol A. Bailey, age 55 of Columbiana, OH passed away at 3:46am Wednesday December 22, 2010 at her home. Mrs. Bailey, the daughter of Melvin and Alma Jean (Lockard) Shoemaker, was born on May 15, 1955 in Youngstown, OH. Carol attended New Springfield H.S. and has resided in Columbiana for the past 26 years where she also attended the Columbiana Church of the Nazarene. She had previously worked as a financial secretary for 17 years at The Way Station in Columbiana, OH. Carol enjoyed camping with her family and also enjoyed playing bingo. Carol is survived by her husband, Robert A. Bailey, whom she married on April 10, 1998. Survivors include, one daughter, Lorie (David) Durk, of Columbiana, one son, Tom Felger, of Columbiana, an adopted son, Steven Baddeley, of Columbiana, three sisters, Nancy (James) Jackson, of Salem, Essie (Arthur) Treharne, of New Middletown, and Sandra (Carl) Deffenbaugh, of Leetonia. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Tiffany, Brent, Cassie, Christopher, Brooke, Taylor, Cameron, and Kaden. One brother, Danny Shoemaker, and one sister, Diana Treharne, precede her in death. Services will be held Friday, December 24, 2010 at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home Columbiana at 3:00 pm with Pastor Jan Winnale officiating.
