Charles "Chuck" M. Sienerth, 74, of Columbiana, Ohio, passed away at 8:40 a.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at the Hospice House after a lengthy illness with the love and support of his family by his side. Mr. Sienerth was born December 21, 1933 in Darlington, Pennsylvania, the son of Henry and Stella (Harper) Sienerth. Chuck was a life long area resident. He was a 1951 graduate of Darlington high school. Mr. Sienerth retired from Babcock and Wilcox in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, where he was an inspector and Hot Mill Foreman. Mr. Sienerth also worked at several salvage yards and most recently at Columbiana Motors for the past five years. Chuck was a member of the First Christian Church in Columbiana where he had served in past years as an usher, trustee, deacon and was a member of the U. & I. Sunday school class. Mr. Sienerth served with the South Eastern Signal Corps during the Korean conflict. He was a member of the American Legion Post #290 of Columbiana and the former Columbiana Kiwanis group. Chuck also served as a past president of Rogers P.T.A.. He was an avid fan of Jeff Gordon, Nascar and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Chuck is survived by his wife, Dorothy M. (Manning) Sienerth, whom he married on June 7, 1952. Other survivors include one daughter, Linda (Greg) Eckstein of Canfield; one son, Charles L. (Connie) Sienerth of Salem; one sister, Norma Ehrenberg of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren, Michael (Audrey) Sienerth of Twinsburg, Amber Sienerth of Salem, Jason (Alicia) Hill of Youngstown, Adam Sienerth of East Palestine, Jennifer (Gary) Evans of Austintown and Taylor Sienerth of Salem; and five great grandchildren. Mr. Sienerth was preceded in death by one sister, Jean Sponsel. A funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 2, 2008 at the First Christian Church in Columbiana with Mr. Clarence Mansfield and Mr. John Reed officiating. Burial will be in Columbiana Cemetery, where the Benjamin Firestone Post #290 will conduct a military honors service. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2008 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday, May 2, 2008. The family suggests that material contributions be made to the First Christian Church, 39 Cherry Street, Columbiana, Ohio, 44408.
