Charlotte J. Macklin, age 81, 104 Park Court Apt. 2, went to be with the Lord at 3:45 am Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Parkside Health Care Center, Columbiana following a long term illness. Mrs. Macklin, the daughter of Raymond and Esther (Calvin) Culp, was born on November 18, 1929 in Columbiana, OH. Charlotte was a graduate of Columbiana High School and played the trombone in the band. She worked at the Columbiana movie theatre, and also worked for Pegs Restaurant, and for the North East Ohio Poultry Association in earlier years. She was a member of the Calla Community Church, and the First Christian Church of Columbiana. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Eugene W. Macklin whom she married March 25, 1950. Survivors also include two sons Robert (Patty) Macklin Sr., North Lima, Larry Macklin Sr., Leetonia, two daughters, Carol(Dave) Black, of New Middletown, and Colleen (companion Bill Heverly) Manning, of Leetonia, a brother, James Culp, eleven grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren- dearly beloved family members, Becky Parks, Victoria Kataro, and Missy Dzuranko. Preceding her in death are 2 brothers, Raymond and William Culp. Services will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at the First Christian Church, Columbiana at 3pm with Mr. Clarence Mansfield officiating. Friends may call from 1 to 3pm on Wednesday May 18, 2011 at the First Christian Church of Columbiana. Burial will be at the Zion Hill Cemetery.
