Chester "Chet" M. Potts III, 78 of New Waterford, Ohio, passed away at 10:28 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Salem Community Hospital from an apparent heart attack. Mr. Potts was born on June 16, 1931 in Princeton, New Jersey, the son of the late Chester M. and Alyce (Davison) Potts. Chester was a retired mechanic. He worked as mechanic for over 50 years. Mr. Potts was a Korean Army Veteran. He also was an Eagle Scout out of Kingston, New Jersey. Chester enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Potts is survived by his wife Peggy whom he married on February 29, 1964. He is also survived by two daughters, Vicki and Ingo of Dale City, Virginia and Diane of Michigan; three sons, Butch and Jessica of Columbiana, Eric and Elizabeth of Columbiana and Michael and April of Columbiana; two sisters and five brothers of New Jersey; and nine grandchildren. There will be no services or calling hours.
