Obituary

Chloe E. Channel, 80, of 456 Laird Ave, Poland, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2007 at Whispering Pines of Columbiana. Chloe was born in Akron, Ohio on April 21, 1927, the daughter of Rev. Lathron and Etta E. Fulk Higelmire. Chloe was a life-long area resident. She retired from the accounting department of America Paper Products in North Lima in 1991. Ms. Channel was previously employed at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Youngstown. Chloe was a member of the Boardman Christian Church and also attended the Greenford Christian Church for many years. Ms. Channel was a graduate of Alliance High School in 1946, enjoyed motorcycling and traveled with the Retread Motorcycle Club for over 30 years with her pet Doberman in her sidecar. Ms. Channel is survived by three daughters; Laretta (Louis) Luggie of Columbiana, Cynthia Guest of Palm Bay, Florida and Celeste (Kevin) Hyland of Youngstown; one sister, Marie Huston of Hot Springs, Ark., six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Chloe was preceded in death by one brother L.H. Higelmire Jr. There will be no public services or calling hours. The family will have a private service at a later date. The family suggests that material contributions be made to MVI Hospice Care, 4891 Belmont Ave, Youngstown, Ohio, 44505. Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
