COLUMBIANA - Clair H. Kelly, 80, of Columbiana, passed away early Monday morning, February 15 at Vibra Hospital in Boardman. Clair was born on January 11, 1936, in Blair County, PA, a son of Harry Ambrose and Bertha (Roberts) Kelly. He married the former Shirley Hammer on February 12, 1954, and together they would raise four children. An independent truck driver, Clair was part owner of Wolf's C & W Hardware in Darlington, PA for eight years and also was owner and operator of Keller's Hardware in Columbiana, and then drove trucks for a number of years before retiring. Clair belonged to the Sportsman Club in Leetonia and the Negley Masonic Lodge No.565 F&AM. He became involved in the Jaycee's and helped build the gazebo in Firestone Park. Clair is survived by his wife of 62 years, Shirley; two daughters Patty Onstead and her husband Roger of Somerset, PA and Cindy McCoy and her husband Terry of Leetonia; two sons Mike and his wife Darlene of East Palestine and Shawn and his wife Denise of New Middletown; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a sister Marie Rickard of Shepherdstown, W.Va. He was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Christopher, sisters Emma Jean and Mildred, and brother Lester. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 18 at noon at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm Street, Columbiana. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 18 at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home, Columbiana, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
