Box 281 North Lima, Ohio 44452 330-549-2231 Clara Rosella Slagle, 85 of Greenford, passed away at 7:21 pm on Sunday, November 19, 2006 at the Salem Community Hospital. Clara was born in Leetonia on May 13, 1921, the daughter of Elmer and Elsie Hall Swindell. She moved from Canfield to Greenford to the family farm in 1953. She worked at the West Building at South Range Schools as a teachers' aid, retiring after 25 years of service. She was a member of the Robbins Memorial United Methodist Church in Washingtonville and was also a 4-H Advisor of Green Leaf Lassies for many years. She was a member of the Green Township Fireman's Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Greenford Grange. She was preceded in death on August 3, 1985 by her husband, E. Noel Slagle. They were married April 19, 1942. Survivors include two daughters Shirley Kellgreen and her husband James of Boardman and Beverly Fisher and her husband Randy of Salem; two sons Leo Slagle and his wife Jane of Washingtonville and Roger Slagle and his wife Nancy of Fremont; one sister Mrs. Paul (Bea) Price of Columbiana; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Vida Kelm and a grandson Todd Slagle. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima with Pastor Cheryl Vanatsky. Friends may call from 5-8 pm Tuesday at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima. Burial will be in Calla Cemetery. Family suggests that material tributes be made to Green Township Ladies Auxiliary or Robbins Memorial United Methodist Church.
