BOARDMAN - Clarence Wilhelm, 99, formerly of North Lima, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 29, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center surrounded by his family. He had been a resident of Whispering Pines in Columbiana. Clarence was born on November 13, 1915 in New Waterford, a son of S. Clyde and Catherine (Klitz) Wilhelm. A New Waterford High School graduate, Clarence was employed by McCune and Company in Youngstown for 22 years as warehouse manager. He also worked in that capacity at Sheely's Furniture and Appliance Co. He held the position of part-time zoning inspector for Beaver Township for 17 years. A life-long area resident, Clarence was a member of the Beaver Township Ruritan, the Allen Lodge #276 in Columbiana, and past Master of the Mahoning County Pamona Grange and Dublin Grange in Canfield. While he was a member of the Good Hope Lutheran Church, Clarence taught Sunday school and served on the church council. Later, he joined Jerusalem Lutheran Church where he also served on church council. He enjoyed spending the winters from 1984 - 2008 in Florida with his wife Elousie. He leaves to cherish his precious memory two daughters, Karen (Ed) Holisky of Columbiana and Melanie (Ron) Krbec-Hayes of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; stepdaughter Lenore L. (Robert) Miller-Franklin of Manford, OK; stepson Richard N. (Sherry) Miller of Seattle; son-in-law Dave Brandt of Manning, SC; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife Elsie E. Huston whom he married September 19, 1937 and who passed away December 14, 1982; his wife, the former Elouise Reesh whom he married January 21, 1984 and who passed away September 1, 2015; daughter Bonnie Brandt; granddaughter Kimberly Holisky; brothers Delmar, Norman, and Glen Wilhelm; and sister Lucy Batchelor. Funeral services will be held on Monday November 2 at 11 a.m. at Jerusalem Lutheran Church, 415 S. Main St., Columbiana with Pastor Sean Myers officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 1, at the Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home,11500 Market Street, North Lima and also one hour prior to the service, at 10 a.m., on Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests material contributions may be made in Clarence's memory to the Jerusalem Lutheran Church Building Fund, 415 S. Main St., Columbiana, OH 44408. The Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima, Ohio is entrusted with the arrangements.
