Obituary

Mary M. Coler, 90, of Poland, Ohio, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 3:25 a.m. at the Hospice House in Poland. She was born August 11, 1919 in North Lima, the daughter of Elam and Anna Barger Best. Mary resided in this area all her life. She was a graduate of Petersburg High School. She worked as a welder at Truscon Steel during W.W. II and Keystone Thrift Bakery. She worked at uptown Sears and retired from Sears at Southern Park Mall. Mrs. Coler was a member of the Sears Retirement Club and the New Springfield Trinity United Methodist Church. She enjoyed reading and traveling, Mary married Levi Coler on March 21, 1942 and he preceded her in death June 22, 1988. She is survived by her two children Gordon (Carol) Coler of, Poland with whom she made her home and Cheryl Dillow of Tarpon Springs, FL. She also leaves seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, a sister Mrs. Leroy (Virginia) Zouck of New Springfield and one brother Ronald (Judy) Best of Columbiana. Mary was preceded in death by eight brothers Elim, Harry,Howard,George, John, Frank, Roy and Donald Best; two sisters Elizabeth Black and Evelyn Schultz. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in New Springfield with Rev. John George officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Boardman. Friends may call from 7-9 pm on Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at the Seederly- Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in New Springfield.
