On Friday, May 23, 2014, Dale Gene Kampfer was placed in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Dale was a gentle, caring, peaceful & loving man. He was preceded in death by his partner and love of his life, Helen Whan; they lived a beautiful life for many years at 4445 State Route 164, Leetonia, Ohio. Also preceding him were his loving parents John and Ollie Kampfer and brother Karl. Surviving, their father and grandfather are his son Kurt Kampfer, daughter in law Chris, grandchildren Jake & Jess Kampfer and his little joy, great granddaughter, Kenley Kampfer, daughter, Karla (Kampfer) King, son in law, Jim, grandchildren, Emily & Brad, daughter Valerie (Kampfer) Randolph, son in law, Scott, grandchildren Lainey & Trevor. Dale also leaves behind his devoted sister, Eileen Esterly, niece Karen and many extended family and friends as well. Dale touched many lives over the years. He was a veteran of the US Navy, former Mayor of Columbiana, and a local business owner with his father of Kampfer's Texaco. Dale was a kind and generous man to all that had the honor of knowing him; he will be greatly missed. A private service is planned by his family per Dale's wishes.
