Darlene K.
Crumbacher
Oct 8, 1956 — Jan 15, 2010
Darlene K. Crumbacher, 53, of North Lima, Ohio passed away at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2010 at her home following a three month illness. Miss Crumbacher was born October 8, 1956 in North Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Gordon and Mary L. (Savanyu) Crumbacher. Darlene was a 1975 graduate of South Range High School, and owned and operated her own barbershop in North Lima up until the time of her illness. She enjoyed motorcycle riding and taking her dog Ginger for rides in the sidecar of her cycle. She also enjoyed riding with her companion, Jeff Vakasy of North Lima and was very proud of her son Jason, who recently received the rank of Major in the U.S. Marine Corps. Darlene's favorite quote was "Family is not an important thing, it's everything." Darlene is survived by her son, U.S. Marine Corps Major Jason Crumbacher, of Camp Pendelton, California; two brothers, Dennis (Leona) Crumbacher of Boardman, Ohio and Douglas (Priscilla) Crumbacher of North Lima and her companion Jeff Vakasy and Ginger. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that material contributions be made to Angels For Animals.
