COLUMBIANA - Daryl W. Gaskill, 81, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, May 14 at Parkside Health Care Center followed by a brief illness. Mr. Gaskill was born on May 25, 1933 in Columbiana, a son of John and Bessie (Drexler) Gaskill. A lifetime area resident, he married the former Joan Zimmerman and together they would raise five children. Daryl worked most of his life as a mill operator at the Mahoning Culvert Company. He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Columbiana and enjoyed model airplanes, fishing, and NASCAR. He was a great car enthusiast. He leaves to cherish his precious memory his wife Joan with whom he celebrated over 60 years of marriage; two daughters, Norma Stauffer and her husband Butch and Laura Gaskill, all of Columbiana; three sons, David Gaskill of Navarre, FL, Michael Gaskill and his wife Lisa of Salem, and Greg Gaskill of Jasper, GA; seven grandchildren Robert, Justin, Matthew, Chad, Eden, Amanda, and Michael Jr.; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister Patty (Mike) Meade of Leetonia. Daryl was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 17 at 4:00 p.m. at Seederly-Mong and Beck, 154 S. Elm Street, Columbiana with Pastor Sean Myers officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before services. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made in Daryl's memory to the Jerusalem Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 415 S.
