David D. Copeland, Sr., 66 of 9463 New Buffalo Rd. Canfield, Ohio, died suddenly at his home in Canfield at 4:00 pm Friday June 8, 2007. Mr. Copeland was born on April 18, 1941 in Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania, the son of David and Darthea Sheldon Copeland. David was originally from Osceola Mills, Pennsylvania. David, also known as "Doey" retired from General Motors Lordstown Plant in 1994. He then drove tractor-trailer for George Riley Trucking Co. in Columbiana. Mr. Copeland attended Locust Grove Baptist Church. His hobbies were fishing with his buddy Bill Clontz, yard work and computers. Survivors include his wife, the former Patsy Johnson formerly of Philipsburg, PA; two daughters Cheryl Huston and her husband Terry of New Middletown; Kelly Bricen and her husband Scott of Penfield, PA; a son David D. Copeland, Jr. of Kinsman; four grandchildren Terra Huston, Jennifer Huston Taylor, Kody Bricen and Taylor Bricen; three great-grandchildren Hunter Jones and twins Lauren and Logan Taylor; a sister and brother-in-law Barbara and James Todd and a niece and nephew from Rogers. He was preceded in death by his parents David and Darthea Copeland. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima and on Wednesday, June 13, 2007 from 7-9 p.m. at the Chidboy Funeral Home in Clearfield, Pennsylvania. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. at the Chidboy Funeral Home 16 N. Front St. Clearfield, Pennsylvania 16830 on Thursday, June 14, 2007. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery in Clearfield, Pennsylvania.
