Martin, 89 of 1500 McKinley Ave., Niles, Ohio, passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2007 at the Shepherd of the Valley in Niles, from infirmities of age. Della was born on January 15, 1918 in New Wilmington, PA, the daughter of Stephen and Mary Miller Lapp. Mrs. Martin was a retired school teacher. She taught in Springfield, Leetonia, Columbiana, Beaver Local, Fairfield and Greenford in Ohio and also Walmo School System in Lawrence Cty., PA. Della enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading, playing the piano and singing. Della is survived by her husband, Eber Martin, whom she married June 12, 1948; a daughter Brenda K. Martin of Harrisonburg, VA, three sons Roger L. Martin of Montgomery, AL, Byron W. Martin of Louisville, OH and Ward M. Martin of North Lima, nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by a brother Glenn Lapp. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 1, 2007 at the Midway Mennonite Church in Columbiana with Rev. Larry Rohrer officiating. Burial will be in Midway Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Saturday, March 31, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana and one hour prior to the service at the church on Sunday, April 1, 2007.
