Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home 154 South Elm St. P.O. Box 1 Columbiana, Ohio 44408 330-482-3788 Donald R. Clark, 78, of 2141 Clark Rd. Salem, Ohio, passed away at 4:50 a.m. Sunday, March 11, 2007 at Salem Community Hospital, from complications of Lou Gehrig's Disease. Mr. Clark was born on October 26, 1928 in Columbiana, Ohio, the son of Paul M. and Lois Longanecker Clark. Mr. Clark was a life-long area resident. He was a retired farmer and carpenter. He was a life-time member of the Zion Hill Church of the Brethren where he was past church trustee and was instrumental in building the new church. Donald was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the Korean War between 1951 and 1953. Mr. Clark was also a member of the Columbiana County Farm Bureau and a graduate of Fairfield High School. Donald is survived by his wife, the former Janet L. Poulton, whom he married June 28, 1953. Other survivors include two daughters Jane (Peter) Neiheisel of Leetonia and Cathy (Kevin) Robinson of Salem; a son Jay (Mary) Clark of Salem; two sisters Mrs. Miriam Rado of Sarasota, Florida and Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Weingart of Alpharetta, Georgia and seven grandchildren Jared and Tyler Robinson, Jill (Matthew) Griffith and Kade Neiheisel and Becca, Emily and Thomas Clark. Donald was preceded in death by a brother Richard Clark. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Zion Hill Church of the Brethren with Rev. John Bartholomew officiating. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 pm Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana and one hour prior to the service Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Zion Hill Church of the Brethren. Military Honors will be presented by American Legion Benjamin Firestone Post #290 of Columbiana.
