Obituary

Donald Clyde Cusick, Sr. 75 of 4060 Adams Rd. East Palestine, Ohio passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Salem Community Hospital at 5:53 am following an extended illness. Donald was born May 3, 1935 in West Point, Ohio the son of Paul Henry and Wilma Tresa Seevers Cusick. Mr. Cusick had worked as a Manager at the Tri- Cash & Carry Lumber Yard of Canfield, Ohio for 13 years. He also had worked as a truck driver. More recently he had worked for M.C.I., a fiber optic cable company. He attended East Fairfield United Methodist Church. Don will be missed by many relatives and many many friends. No one was a stranger to him. He was an avid football fan and attended all of the Crestview Rebels football games. Each player was like one of his own children. Don is survived by his wife the former Anita C. Lanzendorfer whom he married October 8, 1983. Other survivors include three sons, Cory A. Cusick at home, Donald C. (Linda) Cusick, Jr. of Girard and Keith A. Cusick of New Waterford; two daughters, Teri (James) Morris of New Waterford and Rebecca Knepper of Warren; two sisters, Jane (Bud) Wright of Lisbon and Lucille (Denny) Drummond of Lisbon; four brothers, Dale (Betty) Cusick of Hanoverton, Paul (Sarah) Cusick of Rayland, Dean (Anita) Cusick and John (Bonnie) Cusick both of Lisbon. Don is also survived by his ten grandchildren, Ali, Alyssa and Devin Cusick, Andrea Sargent, Justin Knepper, Courtney and Tyler Morris, Patrick (Melissa) Cox, Kati Cox, Shawn and Joshua Louk; and five great-grandchildren, Lucas and Logan Cox, Alaina Louk, Selah and Naomi Sargent. A memorial service will be held at the East Fairfield United Methodist Church, Monday, at 6:00 pm, September 27, 2010 with Rev. Michael Namy officiating. Burial was at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens. Don's family will receive friends and family immediately following the memorial service Monday at the church. Arrangements were handled by Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana.In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial tributes be directed to East Fairfield United Methodist Church , 45675 State Route 558, New Waterford, Ohio 44445.
