Donald E. Young, 77, of Columbiana, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at his home. Donald was born August 10, 1934 in Marietta, Ohio, the son of Herbert & Mildred O'Brien Young. He was a 1952 graduate of Marietta High School and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from Youngstown State University in 1969. In 2005, he retired from Pulte Homes in Orlando, Florida as a cost accountant. He was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and served in the Navy during the Korean War. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife the former Patricia Falcon, whom he married July 14, 1962, two sons Michael (Dena) Young of Longwood, Florida and Timothy (Samantha) Young of North Tonawanda, New York; two sisters Sarah (Dan) Strahler of New Albany, Ohio and Joanne (John) Blair of Marietta, Ohio; two brothers Bernard (Dorothy) Young of Bentonville, Arkansas and James (Diane) Young of Washington State; a step-brother Ralph (Patricia) Hockenberry of Longwood, Florida and three grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Friday, September 16, 2011 at the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana officiated by Rev. Thomas Ziegler.
